I'm a researcher and data scientist with a foot in both academia and industry. I hold a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and Electrical Engineering (University of São Paulo & Polytechnic University of Turin), where I focused on reinforcement learning and decision-making in operations and finance. I'm a postdoc at the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA), exploring how dynamic programming and RL can optimize perishable inventory systems under uncertainty. In parallel, I work as a Senior Data Scientist at Aravita, building machine learning models for demand forecasting and product segmentation in retail. My experience spans supervised and unsupervised learning, anomaly detection, NLP, simulation-based optimization, and the occasional foray into autonomous agents. Before academia fully claimed me, I was a product manager and software engineer at Itaú, where I learned how to build, ship, and explain complex systems to people who are not engaged in complexity. Outside of work, I split my time between running, postdoc-ing (yes, it's a lifestyle), and diving into Magic: The Gathering and tabletop RPGs—because who doesn't love a good optimization problem with fantasy creatures?
